I am a mom, homeschooler, gardener, cook, and a yoga teacher, and I depend on a regular yoga practice to keep me balanced and help me try to bring peace and purposefulness to all I do.

When I do yoga, I have a feeling of ease and lightness—freedom—within me. Nothing gives me more satisfaction than helping students find that same feeling for themselves.

For the past 10 years, I have been helping students listen inwardly, move and breathe more freely. My classes emphasize choosing and adapting yoga poses, breathing and meditation to best support students as individuals.

I continue to study, work with a mentor and do my own daily yoga practice to further develop as a teacher and student.

Client Reviews

Zoë’s yoga classes have been a wonderful part of my life for three years. She brings together movement, breathing, meditation, and a bit of chanting in classes that improve both body and mind.

Zoë is a gifted yoga teacher and a special human being. Her calm manner, love of teaching yoga, and sense of possibility affect everyone in her classes.

I have been a student of Zoë’s now for four years. In that time, I have benefited from her depth of knowledge and extensive training and experience in yoga.

Her approach is holistic. She can quickly recommend yoga poses that are suited to your own needs and level. Zoë has suggested corrections and alternatives to make my practice both safer and suited to my body’s needs. She is a patient instructor who let’s us work at our own pace but also introduces us to new challenges to further improve our yoga practice. She has also introduced her students the benefits of breathing, chanting and meditation.

Throughout the many sessions I have had as a student, Zoë has always modeled yoga principles.

Taking yoga classes with Zoë for several years now has helped me to:
1) feel more physically balanced;
2) develop stronger back muscles;
3) feel generally stronger and more aware of the numerous and complex connections in my body.

I particularly enjoy Zoë’s calm, patient, friendly and focused approach during our practices as well as her attentiveness to each participant’s special needs and abilities.

Our teacher is also very good at explaining the challenges and benefits of poses and breathing practices. I consider the important role of breathing throughout the yoga and mediative practices in Zoë’s lessons an additional asset that has contributed to my overall sense of well-being.
